How it all began
Our Story
SolapeIt all began on the day of one of our church picnic, I noticed he wasn't around and I got curious, so I decided to ask his friend the reason for his absence from the picnic, because they were mostly together, having attended the same university and usually coming to church. His friend informed me that he was ill and that's why he was absent. After the picnic, there were some snacks and fruits left over, I casually packed them and gave some to his friend and asked to share with Nathan. I didn't think much of it at the time as it was simply me being nice. Later that evening, I received a message from him for the very first time. My now fiancé reached out just to say hello, to thank me for the food, and to appreciate the thoughtfulness behind checking on him in his absence. I remember saying to myself, very nice of him to reach out to appreciate the kind gesture. I simply replied that it was nothing special the food was just extra, and I had asked his friend to share it with him. Somehow, that small gesture made its way to him.
Together
Neither of us knew then that the simple exchange was quietly opening the door to something life-changing. Before that day, we had never exchanged numbers or messages. Just the occasional "hello" or polite smile on Sundays at church — nothing more, nothing less.
Today, we look back with grateful hearts on how God orchestrated our story from such a simple beginning. What started with a church picnic, a few extra snacks and food, and a thoughtful message has led us to this beautiful moment. And here we are today, hand in hand, preparing to begin our journey to forever.
